Who We Are            Daily Routine

Honeybees Ethos

We offer many opportunities for the children to learn through play with an excellent selection of equipment and toys.  Their experiences are further nurtured with quality interactions from staff and an environment that encourages independence and exploration.  We encourage our children to grow, but always at their own pace with no pressure. We feel we prepare our children extremely well for their transition to primary education and they leave us motivated, inspired and with a love of learning.

The children have access to a variety of learning environments, including a cosy book corner with sensory enhancements, a markmaking area filled with everything they need to create their own masterpieces including images of other artists work, an outdoor area where they can run, dig, explore and discover. Creativity is a core principles throughout the whole of our setting and the children are encouraged to develop this through carefully planned themes that meet their interests.

We are proud of our highly qualified staff, having an early years teacher and a qualified primary teacher and have worked together as a team for many years. We provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment. We are able to offer good children to adult ratios with 4 children to 1 adult for children aged 2 and no more than 8 children to 1 adult for 3 and 4 year olds.  We often work to a 6-1 ratio, which benefits the children greatly as their individual needs are met.

We build strong realationships with parents throughout your childs time at Honeybees. Parents are the key to providing children with a exceptional start to their education and we work hard to ensure they are included in everything we do. This includes taking seats on the committee, stay and play sessions, using your feedback to improve our provision and working in partnership to meet your childs individual needs.
